Funny Wars is a 2022 online comic series. It focuses on the wacky misadventures of The Cop as he defends Funnyville from the evil Dr. Poopy Fart and the other villains of the week. It also features a subseries of short-form comic strips called 'Funny Bites'. Three issues were produced before it went on an indefinite hiatus in 2023.

Issues

  • Issue 1 focuses on introducing the world and The Cop stopping an attack from a squad of Poopburbian Soldiers on Funnyville.
  • Issue 2: Rise of The Bed Bandit features The Mall Cop investigating the strange disappearance of all the beds in Funnyville.
  • Issue 3 shows The Cop working with infamous crime boss Jackstone Timbly, who helps the cop take down the Evil Stan in order to prevent himself from getting caught.

Development

The idea of a Funny Wars concept started popping up during the film's development. It didn't get very far beyond a few suggestions. After the film's cancellation, however, IoI_xD began to push for it harder. With agreement from the other 2 people working on Funny Wars, a site (https://funnywa.rs) was purchased. Originally envisoned with 3D models, work on the comic didn't start for many months until one of the artists bought a drawing tablet. With 2D art as an option, planning started up again. After a few more months, Issue 1 was scripted, drawn, and released, with the next 7 issues having a plot synopsis ready. Issue 2 came out a few months later alongside the launch of Funny Bites.

There was a 1 year gap between Issue 2 and 3, with Issue 3 being quickly pumped out in MS paint as a gag. The main comic is now considered somewhat abandoned with interest in other Funny Wars projects, though nothing is entirely certain and the comic can very well return. As of 2025, Funny Bites has been revived and fill in for the comic for the foreseeable future.
