Main Plot Synopsis

Taking place immediately after Issue 1, The Mall Cop returns to his cave home beneath the Mall to find his bed missing. He deduces it was stolen, but doesn't care too much as he's fine with buying a new one; once he arrives at the bed store, however, the owner tells him all the beds in the store were stolen, confusing the Mall Cop. He then receives a call from Senator Harry, furthering his confusion.

Going to investigate, the Mall's Protector returns his cave to find a note from the thief he previously didn't notice -- signed The Bed Bandit. The Officer puts the note into his supercomputer to try to find any matches in the Funnyville handwriting database; such a database obviously doesn't exist and the note was written in Times New Roman. The Mall Cop gets very disappointed in himself for his idiocy.

Coming up with a new plan, he goes to investigate the Funnyville Library's security footage to see if the letters were printed there; luckily, his hypothesis proves true. He also sees the Bandit's car on the footage, a red 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara. The victory is short-lived, however, when one of the Bandit's goons kicks open the door; our hero easily dispatches of him. Running out of the Library, he finds the Bandit's car and chases after it to his base: an abandoned storage building.

Later that night, after calling the Funnyville Police, The Mall Cop and the real cops storm the building. The group battle against a horde of Bed Bandit minions until the man himself emerges from the shadows to fight the Mall Cop. The thief runs up a flight of stairs and the Mall Man chases after him. The two duke it out while the police fight the Bandit's minions below. While the fight is pretty evenly matched, ultimately the Bed Bandit gets the upper-hand and uppercuts the Mall Cop down to the bottom floor. Jumping down after him, he picks up a discarded pistol from one of his fallen minions and puts it to the Mall Guard's head. Luckily, the Mall Cop also manages to grab a discarded gun; however, both weapons were out of ammo. Realizing this, the Bed Bandit quickly flees the building.

With the Bed Bandit defeated, the Mall Cop, Police Chief, and Funnyville Police return the beds to the citizens of the city. The story ends with the Mall Cop finally getting the sleep he's been wanting since Issue #1.

B-Plot Synopsis

Issue #2 begins the secondary B-plotline of Funny Wars, focusing on the Five Nights at Freddy's characters. This issue only has 1 short page of the subplot.

At his taco stand, Freddy Fazbender is being annoyed by Foxy, whom is rambling on about pirate stories; then he notices Springtrap opening the door. He asks him where he's going, to which the rabbit responds with a vague 'leaving'. Freddy angerly tells him to not come back.

Trivia

  • This is the first main comic issue to introduce a comic-original villain.
  • The B-Plot in this issue is actually re-used from the beginning of the Five Nights at Freddy's subplot in the cancelled Funny Wars film.
  • This is the first comic to have a subtitle.
  • While Funny Bites 20 released first, issue #2 started production first, and as such was the first comic where the Mall Cop's sleeves were redesigned to be short-sleeved.
